1 Temple 1 District — Food Security Kit
One partner temple in every district gives out food security kits, so that no saint, pilgrim or needy person in that district goes hungry.
by GYANVAHINI RESEARCH FOUNDATION · Forest ashrams and caves across India
Deep in forests and hills, many saints spend their lives in tapasya, meditation and the study of scriptures. They live far from villages and towns, with no fixed income and often no road to their ashram or cave.
During the monsoon and winter, even the little food that reaches them stops. Elderly saints fall ill with no medicine nearby. Gyanvahini volunteers carry dry ration and basic medicines on foot to these remote places, so that those who keep our spiritual traditions alive never go hungry.
| Dry ration kits — 100 saints for 3 months (₹1,500 per kit) | ₹4,50,000 |
| Medicines and first-aid kits | ₹75,000 |
| Transport to remote forest ashrams | ₹50,000 |
| Volunteer coordination | ₹25,000 |
| Total budget | ₹6,00,000 |
